The One Health Concept

The One Health Concept considers the close link between human, animal and environmental health and promotes the collaboration of medical doctors, veterinarians and environmental experts. Important crosscutting issues are, for instance, zoonosis (animals transmitting a disease to humans) or antibiotic resistances. WTS supports the One Health idea of interdisciplinary cooperation by integrating relevant issues, such as rabies or dealing responsibly with antibiotics, in the Academic Education and CPD of vets and paravets within the VETS UNITED programme.
